My many years as a skilled florist flowers have taught me they are for bringing untold pleasure, for sending or receiving for looking at and for arranging - the silent message they bring convey joy and sorrow.
As A practised Florist I am highly selective of the flowers I choose to use - flowers to make an impact either by colour or contrast of form, traditional or contempory.

Each season brings a new challenge, new plant and flower material and new exciting colours.
Pinks, lavender and grey....a collection of the Greens..green orchids, green carnations, green gladioli and to add flair a few stems of green and chocolate Anthuriums.....the vibrant clash of magenta and scarlet.

Adventurous and not for the faint hearted.
The romantic collection...Roses, forget me nots, white orchids, lily of the valley are charged with emotion..gentle and fragrant yet as explosive as dynamite when they carry that certain person's love.

Many of the South African flower varieties have an added bonus as they dry so well and can be used later.The beautiful colours of Copper Beech, Chestnut and Laurel are easily preserved in Glycerine.
When the Royal Yacht visited NZ it was a privilege for me to supply the Flowers - beautiful Roses, the finest in New Zealand - grown in Cristchurch the lovely Garden City.
For the return voyage large branches of preserved Copper Beech was extensively used and much appreciated I was later told.

I think myself fortunate to be a Florist located in Christchurch......Many wonderful flower growers who are able to supply me daily with fresh blooms...To see the trolleys laden from the glasshouses enables me to choose only the best .....the repeat business i receive is rewarding ....I place a high value on long-term relationships.
